Project Overview

Castleview residential development is located at the Carriglea Industrial Estate, Muirfield Drive, Naas Road, Dublin 12. It comprises of 371 units in a mix of one, two and three bed apartments in 10 individual residential blocks ranging in height from 4 storeys to 7 storeys.

The development also accommodates tenant amenity spaces such as creche, gym, residents lounge and business suite. The blocks have been designed around individual internal courtyards to provide both public and private open space for the development. A linear park runs through the centre of the development, and another public route stretches along the Southern perimeter of the site, which will enhance the permeability of the area, while creating links between Drimnagh Castle, Landsdown Valley and the Bluebell luas stop. The northern edge of the site is designed to form a solid boundary to the proposed development, while the southern blocks step down to allow more sunlight to penetrate the inner courtyards.

The Architectural forms of each of the buildings relate to their orientation and aspect, their character area and relationship with surrounding buildings. The Street and Linear Park elevations differ in their broken-up massing to the courtyard side with more glazed elements framed by solid brick ends. At the same time three is a consistent language running through throughout of combined solid brickwork with large openings and framing, application of zinc cladding at upper and lower levels and corner and special features in stonework.
