Project Overview

Located in the heart of the medieval centre of Dublin, directly opposite Christchurch Cathedral, this hotel represented the Jurys group first, and flag ship, move into the budget hotel market. The 188 room hotel re-established the streetscape in this historic area. Elevational treatment establishes an appropriate hierarchical relationship to the cathedral, using modern detail treatment with traditional materials – natural limestone, reconstituted granite and clay brick.

Construction work uncovered the remains of a previously unlocated section of the medieval city walls and a stone tower.  These archaeological features have been preserved and enclosed in an underground room.
