Project Overview

Located on a site bounded by Sir Harry's Mall, the Northern Relief Road and the Abbey River, the Absolute hotel comprises 99 bedrooms, Bar, Restaurant, Conference suite and Spa.

The building is designed as two curvilinear blocks which are joined by a glazed link atrium housing a double height reception space accessed from Long lane. The main block stands at six storeys high and is finished in a mixture of granite and limestone to echo the materials of the surrounding bridges. The curved aerofoil shape of this block addresses both the new bridge which adjoins it and the revitalised banks of the Abbey River where a new boardwalk has been created to follow the line of the old Sir Harry’s Mall.
