Project Overview

Completed in 2022, this turnkey project delivered an extension to Terminal 1 to house the baggage security systems. This ‘Baggage Control Building’ facilitated a comprehensive upgrade of the existing Baggage Handling System within Terminal 1 and aligning it with the latest European Civil Aviation standards. The new building also allowed for the baggage system to link directly across to Terminal 2 and provided a new top floor suite of offices, a control room, meeting rooms and staff facilities. The construction of the building was undertaken during the challenging times of Covid as well as in the operating in the complex live airside environment of Dublin Airport.
