Project Overview

Block 7, also known as Osprey House, is a four-storey office building located at the junction of Grand Canal Street Lower and Love Lane, Dublin 2. It featured front car parking and a mix of surface and under-podium parking to the rear.

To enhance the building’s identity and street presence, a new full-height glazed entrance was added to the front elevation. This included a double-height entrance space across the ground and first floors, with new office accommodation added at the second and third floors. The internal staircase was replaced to integrate the expanded reception area with the new entrance.

Inspired by the nearby Grand Canal, the entrance design referenced the form of a canal lock. The glazed façade extended beyond the parapet to suggest cascading water, with a varied vertical glass pattern reinforcing the effect and creating a dynamic connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
