02 Headquarters

This striking building forms the centrepiece of the regeneration of Sir John Rogerson Quay and provides office accommodation centred on an atrium and a courtyard. Built on the site of a long vanished marine school, the E-shaped design takes the relationship with surrounding buildings and the historic school into account with its symmetrical and stepped aspect. The front elevation is regulated by the vertical line of structural columns which provides rhythm and articulation to the main facade. The palette of materials including granite, white enamel steel and glass contribute to the maritime feel of the development.
