No. 1 Georges Quay
Currently undergoing a major refurbishment this project will deliver approx. 12,500 sqm. of Grade A Office Space. The location is unrivalled benefiting from a superb waterside location as well as being right in the heart of Dublin City Centre. 1GQ will deliver a building of the highest specification targeting LEED Platinum and with floor plates of approx. 2,500 sqm
The refurbishment incorporates the construction of a four-storey link element at the rear plaza, including a new feature scenic lift. It is also proposed to redesign the existing internal atria space to rationalise and increase office floor space. It is also proposed to replace all existing reflective and opacified glazing and replace with clear glazing.
One of the most striking aspects of this project will be the construction of a new five-storey glazed extension to the front of the building that will incorporate a double height entrance element.
It is also proposed to remove the existing colonnaded pergola element at street level enclosing the entrance plaza and replace this with a dramatic new landscaped entrance plaza, including the extension of the existing entrance steps fronting onto Georges Quay, which will visually open up the plaza.
The project is due for completion in Q3 2017.
