Hilton Hotel (formerly Stakis) at Charlemont Place, Dublin 2

This 195 bedroom hotel overlooks the Grand Canal and was completed at an approximate cost of £14 million.   Part of a mixed use development including offices, the Hotel is organised as two parallel blocks, with a  serpentine glazed link between them at ground level.   The hotel has conference facilities for 300 people looking out on a dished landscaped plaza which is the centrepiece of the development.

All deliveries and services take place at basement level.  The building is finished in buff stock bricks with a Granite Loggia defining the entrance under a sweeping glazed canopy.   Interiors are by Josef Ransley.
