Barrow Street Mills

The works comprised the refurbishment and conversion of two flour milling buildings on the site of the former Boland Mill, Barrow St. The buildings which had been embedded within Boland’s Mill had been poorly maintained and consequently required various levels of repair and restoration. Specialist skills and trades such as masonry cleaning, cast iron window repair and manufacture and leadwork amongst others were employed in the refurbishment work. Extensive structural works in the form of propping and underpinning of existing floor structures were required in Mill.
