Bolands Mills Development – Granted Planning Permission
BKD Architects are delighted to announce that the Boland’s Quay Development at Boland’s Mills has been granted planning permission by Dublin City Council. Following adjustments to the street elevations on Barrow Street and an increase in the proportion of white coloured cladding material to the dock elevations the development was deemed to have met the requirements of the North Lotts and Grand Canal SDZ Planning Scheme.
The development will be marked by three tapering, signature buildings set around new public space on the canal dock edge. The eclectic mix of refurbished industrial heritage structures, high quality contemporary new build, new public streets and the connection to the water will deliver a unique experience in this part of the city.
When complete the development will deliver 37,000m² of commercial, residential, restaurant, café and a cultural exhibition space.
